With the new developments
in hull designs for Hydroplaning, and the improvement
in engine designs,
Bernard looked for a blueprint to take advantage of these concepts. |
He found and used
a suitable design originally created by William H. Hand Jr.
of New Bedford, Mass. (Design No. 302) This was used as a basis. |
Bernard customized
the design to
suit his needs, and several decades later changed the propellor
location, and removed about 3 feet of the stern. |
